These organizer terms are part of the Terms of Service. They apply when you create an event or set up payouts. The Refund & Cancellation Policy is part of the same agreement. [Company legal name] provides the platform. You provide the event.
You deliver the event
You are responsible for delivering the event you post. You are responsible for accuracy: the date, the place, the price, the minimum, and what people are told is included. You are responsible for taxes, permits, and any other duty that applies to running the event.
People rely on what you publish. If you cannot deliver the event, cancel it so charged commits can be refunded under the refund policy.
What you pay
You receive the full ticket price. The person who commits pays the ticket plus a platform fee (currently 5%, shown at checkout) plus payment processing. CountMeIn keeps the platform fee.
Each account can publish 3 free events at no charge. After that, each additional free event costs $5. Paid events do not use that allowance.
Voting
Location and venue voting is non-binding until a winning option opens for commits. A vote total is not a booking and not a charge. You choose when that option opens, and a tie or an override needs a note people can read.
Payouts
Payouts go to you through Stripe Connect after commits close. A paid event needs a US Stripe Express account, with details submitted, before it can be published. Free events do not. Payouts go out when commits close. The current hold is 0 days. If a hold is set, the payout waits that many days after the event date and never goes out before commits close. The current reserve is 0%. If a reserve is set, that share of the ticket total is held and released after the event date. The platform fee is not paid out to you.
Cancellations and replacements
Before a payout is sent, you can cancel the event. Everyone who was charged is refunded the full amount. After a payout is sent, cancellation is handled by CountMeIn so the transfer can be reversed before those full refunds.
A person who was charged can ask to drop out while commits are still open. You approve the replacement. When the replacement pays, the dropout is refunded the ticket price plus the platform fee, not the processing fee.
Holds, reversals, and suspension
We may hold or reverse payouts, and we may suspend accounts, for fraud or non-delivery. The same applies to a chargeback on a commit. We may ask you for records that show the event was delivered.
